Old Glory

Seeing the colors of red and blue
And never forgetting the white
This flag is standing high and true
And shows the world why we fight

Allowing no country to bring us down
Or enslave us all in fear
It turns all tears into frowns
And freedom rings in all ears

When in battle, the enemy sees
Waving stars and stripes
We fought on land and on sea
And showed those dogs our might

After every victory
Our flag still tall and proud
We bow our heads quietly
And pray for those in the clouds.

I wrote this while serving in the US Navy, watching the flag atop the ship inspired me to write this.
