Visited old friends
Learned Charlie had passed last year....
Where was he buried?

The urn holding his ashes
Lies on his side of the bed

sad write, my friend, but had to smile about where his widow keeps the urn - chris' ex girlfriend, anne-marie, used to take her mum's urn of ashes on day trips

What a magnificent write my friend! That is sad when you find out friends are passing away! I have only had that experience with friends here on the Soup! All my other friends are still alive and well, thank goodness! This is such a sentimental poem Sara, I loved the heartfelt nature of it! I surely loved reading this awesome piece this morning! What a brilliant poem, Great Work!!

Carol, Thanks for the kind review of my work..I appreciate you dropping by ...I felt like crying when she said that he was in there on his side of the bed..She has been having chemo for colon cancer and I thought that she had lost it..Sara

SS, It was sad..She did not even seem to know how deep what she was doing really was..I felt like crying..He was 86 when he died and she is now 87..She has colon cancer but had just taken her last chemo treatment..Sara
