Old Friends
Emerging from the shade
Warm rays seeping through our pores
chills slowly dissipating
Arms spread wide to soak in more
A sky of endless azure
Soft breeze dancing through our hair
Watching clouds turn into dragons
Then disappear into thin air
I watched as she spread sunshine
To all we chanced to meet
Convinced that as we strolled along
Flowers bloomed beneath her feet
Talked of everything and nothing
Laughing well into the night
Reminiscing special memories
With arms linked together tight
I thought how very special
She had always been to me
How God designed this friendship
As it was truly meant to be
