Old Flame
I was born in a small village,
with no distinction or privilege!
I loved every inch of that land
And carved the roads on my hand!
I kissed each olive tree on the trunk
Some thought I'd been really drunk.
It's always been my old flame,
And I still adore it the same.
It's always been in my heart
It nurtured my taste and art.
