Old Fashioned Love

With my heart wide open
I wait for you to appear.
I'm tired of being all alone
as I face another year.

I have a lot of love to give
I've stored up through the years.
Waiting for you to find me
and dry up all these tears.

I know somewhere there has to be
a heart with feelings like mine.
A heart that's crying out for love
the good, old fashioned kind.

Hello Lary, I like this poem. You know, what you said in this poem is so true. Like Trudyy said she is out there somewhere That goes for me as well. I also hope to find an old fashion love one day, to dry away my tears. This will be my favourite.

The rhythm and rhyme are wonderful in this beautiful, heartfelt poem, I like this alot, course, I'm an old fashioned girl, with an old fashioned love of my own going on 19 years now. So I know the dream is attainable, just keep looking, she's out there! and thank you for your comments also! There are plenty more posted here if you like what you see so far! LOL ~Trudy~
