A very touching, sad write Warren which touches a cord in me and no doubt many! Its so true….l have op-shopped (what we say here for shopping in thrift stores) over the years and have picked up books, photos , paintings with beautiful words written to someone on them….its always a heart toucher! Love your poem….Debx

That's so sad that it was just thrown out that way to a thrift shop. I imagine my albums of poetry ending up that way as well

Andrea, If you become a famous poet, your albums of poetry will end up in the library for all to enjoy for many years. Having read your poetry, I don't you have anything to worry about~ Warren

Dear Warren, your succinct poem is so very poignant. It's sad how family history; photos of ancestors become forgotten or irrelevant to those here and now. The abandoned "old photo album" is so symbolic of the loss of familial ties and collective memories. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan
