Old Chocolate Cake
Remember when we used to laugh
About the way I did my math.
Snorting and talking all throughout class;
Blowing bubbles in our milkshake glass;
All the tricks and jokes we used to make,
You were then my chocolate cake.
Remember when we used to speak
A language formed at our friendship's peak.
Talks that lasted for hours,
Kept safe in hearts cuz' they were ours.
Never thought our bond would forsake,
For you were my chocolate cake.
But as time passed,
I couldn't keep this chocolate cake to last.
It soon got spoiled and rotten,
But the taste of our friendship was never forgotten.
Knowing this makes my heart break,
But,now, you are an old chocolate cake.
