Old
who am i that you loved me so
that you gave your life for me
you climbed the highest mountain
swam the deepest sea.
sometimes forgotten,other times misplaced
a miserable soul that has lost its way
day after day i cry, to no avail
to weep , mourn, and wail
bitterness now my only friend
has replaced the joy i once felt.
my heart grows cold and faint ,i slowly fade away
a woman old and alone
dont pity me or let sorrow be seen
dont waste a tear on me
be of cheer young love
your day will surely come
as for me,i am old ,my life i have lived
my fears have conqured me
the pain of loss, and lonliness has won
no longer do i desire ,but to wait upon my death
