Okay, Just Drop One In Okay, just drop one in his cup, or maybe two or more, in trembling hands that he holds up, while begging eyes implore. Wrapped up in tattered coat, his home, wherever he may end; cast out by fate and all alone... this cup, his only friend. Okay, just drop one in his cup, a bill or batch of change, to see him smile when he looks up... as fear with hope exchange. To see eyes sparkle and well up... perhaps today he eats. Okay, just drop one in his cup; revive this heart that beats. Sandra M.Haight ~10th Place~ Contest: Okay, Just Drop One In Sponsor: John Lawless Judged: 10/04/2016

A lovely poem reminding us of a terrible problem. Often the smallest acts of kindness are the most important. Thanks for dropping this one in the contest

I don't do sevens but this is good, this is really good. Thanks for sharing. I can recall giving a young man all the change I had, which was not very much. I went immediately to a cash machine and got enough so that he and his shivering girlfriend could have a week in a boarding house and a few square meals. It wasn't nearly enough but all I could do at the time.

Thank you, Andrea. I think that's what he really meant but thought I'd go "outside the box". Hugs, Sandra
