Ohio Walk
walking through the dark alley
my cigarette lights the way
I follow the trail
of all the cigarettes I've left before
I'm reminded of my past;
how I look back with love,
and remember with fondness
I realize
I must cherish the present
with this same fondness.
For when the past was present,
I did not have this love for it, either.
