Ohh Yee Hummingbird Swimming In My Head Before Bed
Ohh yee
Multicolored feathered luminous
Hummingbird
Perilously perched on the tree ahead
Recently just since landed here
Currently now drawing in such deep breaths
Filling up your lungs with every gasp
Expanding your barreled chest
In order so you can
Sing and humm me
I alone a natural lullaby
In order to show me what it must be like
To fly free above a placid lake
Shimmering without a wake
And then afterwards please promise me
Once you are done and through with me
You will move on
So you can make another person's
Dream come true
And on your way
Disappear behind a rainbow
Leaving a trace and shower
Of a billion golden flakes and sprinkles
Wakes and trails
