Oh Where Have You Gone Father

When are you gonna realize that there might be no tomorrow
And all those hearts breaking from your words you might never get to mend
When are you gonna be kind
Less angry
When will you love us as your own?
Hold us when you need you to
Realize we are the world
A world you never valued
Never carried in sickness or in health
You have passed the days so idly here yet so away
When will you appreciate the pillars we were at your weakest
That rose into a greatness
A greatness you never shared with us
I see you everyday losing it
More ignorant
Less human
Oh where have you gone father
