Oh What a Day'
It started out as a normal day;
Arise, eat, and get under way.
Since I don't know what lies ahead,
I'd better stop for a meal of my daily bread'
When I got to my workplace, my buddy was there.
He had some personnel problems that he wanted to share.
It didn't take long to see his tremendous need,
So I quietly began to intercede.
When I turned my attention to the work for the day,
It seemed like nothing would go the right way'
My boss came to give me the "third degree."
"Oh Lord, let your Light shine through me'"
Temptations to sin was always at hand,
And I knew I had to make a stand.
The evening commute was no peace of cake'
"Father, forgive me for all my mistakes'"
Aahh'-Ahead is castle'-surely no strife'
Then I was met at the door by my wife.
As she unfolded the events of her day,
I knew once more it was time to pray'
Now, at last, it's time for bed'
And my evening meal of daily bread.
Without the resources of prayer and the Word,
What would I do? Thank you, Dear Lord'
