just for fun....
OH! WATERMELON!
Oh watermelon, you’re a sweet, juicy summertime delight inviting us all to take a refreshing bite. Your juice drips down, a sugary, sticky stream. You’re the taste of summer, delightful but not clean. Your rind cracks with a satisfying sound. Your dark seeds we gladly spit out on the ground. Your seeds are a snack for birds on a warm summer night who feast on them underneath the silvery moonlight. Oh watermelon, you’re a cooling treat, an invigorating escape from sun's sizzling heat.

That’s so cute Sara, a watermelon as a seat is just what is needed in this heat… Beryl

This is a FAV for my list! A wonderfully fun summertime poem, Sara. The imagery was excellent. I could remember eating watermelon on the back porch and spitting the seeds out on the lawn as a little boy. One of the fun things that came along with summer's heat. Have a great week, my friend. Bill
