Oh To Sleep

So tired am I
For to sleep
For to dream
but for me
I cannot
‘tis Parkinson’s
it would seem
I sleep for just
an hour or two
Then wide awake
oh what can I do
I sit up
I get up
I visit
the loo
or go to the kitchen
what else can I do
Making a cuppa
of Earl Grey tea
in the hope it will
make me feel sleepy
Then back to bed
My sleepy head
can hardly keep
tired eyes open
Another hour
But then again
I am up and
awake once more
I try the chair
with a pillow
with a wrap
Dozing gently
I manage a nap
Then look at the clock
for me
for to see
the time
‘tis still only
half past three...
