Oh, Those Arrogant Poets

"No, I won't read you, no matter what!" "Even if you get a POTD, I will keep my heart and pen shut." Such a terribly, nasty state of affairs. When they associate only with top poet lairs! I had enough POTDs to already know who would prefer death! (by name). Than giving me a soul squeeze,golly, they may run out of breath? I take it all in,with a big grain of salt. Better that, than getting totally drunk on malt. To those who are here, to a relative newbie. I prefer love to disingenuous snooties! *************** @And hugs to all, who do read me. My friend, humanity is by and large not imbued with love. empathy for the plight of poets. That they so oft give so deeply of their heart and are ignored, ridiculed, chastised or given meaningless replies to the Art they present. Kindness and caring are two things some people abhor--unless it is being gifted unto THEM. A fav. God bless..

Hi Robert.. Indeed, I agree with you.the holding back on commenting is ridiculous. Or just let another poet you care. Alas, we write of love but hold it tight on our clutches. A tragedy in my eyes. I cannot understand Panagiota why someone would not want to read your poetry, ok I don’t read every poem on the soup myself, but certainly look over the highlighted ones potd and all contest mentions, I simply don’t have the time, but I totally agree there ere some big egos on the soup, cheers David

David..yes I am read. That's great. I have no big gripes about that. Men comment, women? More rare, but that's OK, I liove the male species. Women run from me. Go figure,the big egos here are the size of zepluns)) I was commenting to Tom...my vision cannot handle it. I will not COMNENT with one word. That's ridiculous. Long COMNENTS form relationships for me. Do what works for you. There is life outside the Soup. Pangie

Panagiota, Justice is blind. Though oh so careful with the weighting. Some so careful with words, that they leave the page blank. And think it a favor, perhaps. It does not work like that. For me, posting three poems is murder. Takes forever. Eyes on a PC or iPad over 6 hours a day is a nightmare. I can't comment as much as I want to. Folks do read me. I thank them all. Jan knows how scarce comments are. Wish I had an answer.i still follow ML's advice. Write Poetry, get better at it, you write so well. Thanks Tom. Rise above COMNENTS...pangie

Wow! How very well stated, Gershon...accepting your Kudos. Many thanks. This is not a lonely hearts cub, is it? I do think I am part of the cancel the poet I sense going on here. Who cares who wrote a poem? I am interested in the poet..just the poem. This is like American Idol here.)) we only read some people. We vote down the rest? Interesting to me MALES AND JAN ONLY RESPOND. BUT...I like Honesty over the wind. Especially hot air. Anyone with a brain can write a poem. Thinkers? Questioners? That's another story. Too afraid of reality. Riding unicorns? Afraid to engage in meaningful poetry to us as a community.Pangie. Worse, some poems are taboo.
