Notes About The Poem

Oh Sweet Hound

(Moonshadow in the North Cascades, 1981)

Oh Sweet Hound

The world turns
Full of bright hopes
And dark fears
Love lost and found
And as it spins
Ever faster
There is just one
Source of joy
That never fades
And it wears your face
Oh sweet hound.
