Oh Say Can You See

I'm not old; Joe tries to say with sprightly hop
as he enters to make a momentous speech;
then mutters and mumbles all over the shop.
Staffers step in before the ratings can leach;
"I'm sure you can forgive the odd malaprop
no mistakes big enough for you to impeach
after all, he's just like your friendly grandpop".
Then just when he thought he was safe out of reach
"I'm hunted," said Hunter "they have my laptop".

Makes no difference any more what is "found" or what its implications are. Heads turn and nothing is done about the real problems. And the media narrative plays on....congrats. Love your poem.

I honestly thought we had hit rock-bottom with Obama and then Trump vs. Clinton... But I hadn't listened to 'Joe' yet. (I've listened three times. Don't bother anymore). :) gw

I don't know much about American Politics, and normally I wouldn't have my say, but my daughter and her family live over there, so I have a vested interest in you guys getting it right. Surely Biden is better than Trump? Here in Australia we have finally outed a corrupt government and now the cleanup is underway. They have left us broke and in a mess and will take ages to restore the damage they did. Be glad when Rupert Murdock is 6 feet under and no longer pulls the strings of world politics.

Just want to assure you that for all his bluster and vulgarity, Trump was a lot better than Biden. (That, of course, isn't saying much). Biden never met a taxpayer dollar he couldn't spend or a union gangster he couldn't be wooed by, or a social cause that he wouldn't squander America's future on. As for foreign affairs, OMG. How was that withdrawal from Afghanistan? And how are we doing with China, Saudi, Russia,...?... Now let's see. What's Joe's pronoun?!

Hi Wendy, sorry for the late response, on the road travelling through France and Spain, finally made a stop for a few weeks in Barcelona. Actually I'm a Brit living in the UK (though did live in the USA for a spell) No political allegiances here just reacted to the subject observationally. Thanks you for stopping by

loVE how well you summed this up. Can't believe he is escaping impeachment. well, I take that back.In this upside down world today, it's perfectly natural for our country to be represented by a moron. Sadly, he is a mere puppets of the evil ones trying to manage him.
