Oh, People Dont You Know
In the darkness of silence, words are formed but no one speaks
In my dream, I am told, of the dangers of silence, accepted
I can’t shake the feeling of trepidation
That no one cares and I walk alone with this world of silence
Of the sounds of truths not spoken
Of no one listening
They ignore what their hearts are saying
But turn away from prophets’ fate to talk of global warming
Do not admit your moral faults, keeping silence is easy
Then the truth of following neon gods
In dark silence and silent nods, with
people busy on their phones, dare not disturb their slumber
Thousands cover mouths, thousands cover ears
The sound of silence is winning
and the devil is grinning, in a malignant growth
Of silence growing
Though some are starting to speak its’s name
The truth is whispers in darkness and unheard words
Oh, people don’t you know, you must speak or it will grow
Only if you stand up is silence to die
