Oh My Child

Walk alone if you must And carry no one who drags you down But find new people along the way Wrap those in need of a blanket Feed the hungry ones Smile to the lonely ones Love the heartless Shelter the homeless And you too will find comfort In the days and nights of your tears For they were both of joy and pain As life is nothing without the other And carry yourself in humility And walk the earth in gratitude Sleep the night in the silence of repentance For the heart echoes what cannot be said As time can never undo what has been done
