Oh, If I Could
If I could rise into the onyx skies
like the daunting moon of silver.
If I could shine high in the eastern
skies.
I know, I would see your loving eyes.
My heart would join yours in felt sighs.
If I could be the brightest star tonight
I would touch you softly as you dream
with my warm light beams.
Oh, if I could be a nightingale for you
a song of how I long to be with you.
It's true I would sing it for you all
night-long.
Oh, If only I could be where you
are this second in time I would,
replace the daunting silver moon.
Outshine the greatest star.
Sing melodies far removed of
the nightingale, and I would be
right there next to you .
Oh, if only I could....
