Oh, How I Wish
Sometimes, I like to think that the rain falls for me.
I like to imagine that my emotions stir up the skies.
There comes a time when I thought
“My whistles command the wind,
My gaze makes the surroundings silent.”
I was superficial.
I wish that was the case, that things come at my will
That maybe, somehow, I am someone special
And that I deserve a praise or two,
That is not hidden in faces
So rough and thick.
Things come and go,
A goodbye is only one that can be thought of.
What else can I send with you,
When you leave with what might be all that I have?
My time came fleeting,
Even before my eyes could see it go.
I see, I am just someone.
When things do happen, where do I go?
When the mind quivers and hides, is there no choice at all?
Oh! How I wish the rain falls for me!
