Notes About The Poem
Written 9th January 2025

Oh Doggie Boy

Frankie’s face so cute, sweet and appealing Lifts one’s heart to fly up to the ceiling The moment we met I was mesmerised No one could resist those sparkling brown eyes. Frankie’s adored by all residents here His presence livens up the atmosphere Love the way Frankie greets us all with joy He is such a warm hearted doggie boy. Never forgets anyone, not ever Knowing Frankie’s an absolute pleasure Frankie’s therapy, knows when one’s unwell By caring actions, is how one can tell. Oh, doggie boy, there’s no doubting the fact You’re simply the star of our habitat.

Beryl, you describe all the wonderful features of pet doggies! They can do a lot of good and provide some common ground for us to discuss. Hope you continue to enjoy the company and kind instincts! Smiles!

So, so cute. We had and loved all our doggies all our lives, but now that we are retired we decided not to have another one, where would we leave him or her, he or she might outlive us. I do miss having a doggie around though. Hugs and love, Jennifer.

Thank you Jennifer, I’m sure you miss not having a doggie around, but one has to do what’s best for the pets… Hugs and love returned… Beryl

May seem strange but I have no pets. I used to have a canary an several tropical fish, but they all died. You wrote a lovely poem. I suppose you have a wide range where to walk your dog. I don't really. Lovely poem though.

Victor, Frankie is my neighbour’s dog, I don’t walk him as I can’t walk outside unaided, I walk with a stick or my walker, which I wouldn’t be without, it has made life so much easier, with shopping especially. Frankie is a joy to all of us in the apartments. Thank you , Beryl

Hi brother John, I know how heartbreaking it is to lose a pet, cat or dog, they do become a member of the family and it’s hard to see them go. Thank you… Sis Beryl xx
