Offerings of Nature

A cold winter’s end
    sunshine a taste of honey
       a woodpecker perched
      amidst a serene moment
       his acoustics amplified

         an osprey takes flight
       with olympic precision
              over still waters
 with a lightening quick splash
        emerges with his dinner

         with freedom—birds soar
        musings of worry —absent
            with but one mission
         as God intended for them
daily spread their wings and soar

I shall always wonder how a little bird with a little beak can make pecking a tree sound like A-bomb explosions …….Aloha! Rico
