Of Two Minds
Two minds are on a course
For destruction today
One is a garden untended
Now grown over and infested
It has been too busy to notice the gradual decay
And now cannot seem to escape
It surveys the scene to find only neatly manicured lawns
Had it looked closely it may have noticed that none of what it saw was there
The second never thinks to look inside
It only looks out to see other minds and thinks it is certainly the most fine
It resolves to apply its considerable skills to seduce, cajole, threaten, control
To if necessary destroy and finally preside over all encountered minds
Had it looked closely it too may have noticed
That none of what it believed it saw was true
The second mind is a Horror
So far from its own truth aware
It undertakes a twisted mission
To lead others from theirs
The first mind then is tragically misled
It cannot see past its weeds
To its beauty
And delivers itself to its end
