Of Trust and Money

He’d done this hundreds of times
Step up to the line and make two dimes*

Small crowds, large crowds, no matter
He sunk ‘em all, every record shattered

    Three dribbles, a deep sigh
       Swish! Easy-as-pie ...

How’d he miss with the title on the line
~ blinded by those dollar signs

A terrible time to lose concentration. Thank you for 'telling it like it is'.

Money and the game, any game, is always the plan, what will I do with my money, my attention wavers, and WHAM, BANG, I have lost the game, Why do gamblers normally lose, because luck is the next card, the next spin of the wheel or at the next slot machine. Although there is a huge difference between losing a game or gambling it away, both have to do with winning money. Interesting point made, enjoyed your write alot. Blessings Gershon, Jennifer.

Enjoyed your poetic weaving of money and the game. I wish I could have used the player's excuse.
