Of the Universe I Ask
Open my mind, open my eyes
Heighten my senses, for I'm the universes apprentice.
Grow soft like the leaves, and tall like the trees.
Have the exterior of bees, but sweetness like honey.
Toughness of stone, throughout this earth that I roam
Until I find my home, in the universe and it's tomb.
For may my spirit take up the elms, and move with the waters,
An everlasting soul, to become an ancestor of sons and daughters.
Don't always ask why, for your tears you may cry
But if you ask how, and don't rush till now
You'll be sat on the clouds,
With your questions answered profound.
Your past self is drowned, and your old leaves have fallen
But next season you'll grow, you've been washed by the snow
So now charge up your glow, And walk down the road
To a collection of trails, choose which one,
And please write us your tales.
