New silence
The pensive awkward silence
Of a new relationship
Sitting, waiting, hoping
For something to say
To break the ice
Fear of rejection.
Painful
Silence.
Old silence
So intimate
So intentional
Timed to perfection
Lost gazing
At love
Broken only with
A kiss
