we live a life now so compromised,  
with more to fear therein, than mortal demise.

A powerful statement, my friend... so much to mull over. Morality seems to be the victim here. Would that our 'leaders' behaved in an ethical manner. BRAVO Joe!! Best wishes, Keith

Yes ! very much true...what kind of life we all are living...a haywire...we all have learnt to compromise but why?????? this poem speaks to me a lot.. a wuestion arises from the core of the heart....we are losing our identity. Excellent is a very little word for this poem. You deserve mre than this...

Indeed, death would seem more appealing than living in war-stricken areas or being in the midst of a riot or terrorist attack. Joe, I see death as the passage to eternal life and have no fear of it. But the "moral surrendering" you describe -- scares me. Excellent short verse. Love, Carolyn (Todd the toad's still looking for a manager. LOL)

The only thing to fear is fear itself, not mine but from a notable. Great poem Joe, what do you mean when you say if I'm alright? If you mean Spiritually. I'm just fine. Just started a Spiritual book and it will be on God's time anyway. Sometimes I feel I'm getting nowhere and then I get a pat on the back and the vigor comes back.
