Of Ivory and Glass
Of Ivory and Glass
What do I care about politics and politicians for?
They live in their Ivory Towers and Glass Houses.
Making up their damn laws to rule over me.
And should I care about the rest of you?
The other common man and woman on the street.
Who are also ruled over by them.
I don’t tend to care for my fellow town’s folk.
They’re so rude and nasty to me.
But I don’t hate them like I do our leaders.
It’s different, being rude is better than a corrupt leader.
Those unscrupulous dictators have no morals.
They sell their souls to the dollar and for war.
Satisfying their own big egos with fake gains.
Putting spin on it to win us over by lies.
For the meek it works but not for me.
I’m neither a fighter nor activist.
I’m just me and I know the difference a mile off.
Someone who steals bread for their family is innocent.
A bent politician who steals for graft is guilty.
Which would you execute?
