OF HEARTS AND MINDS

                1

Hearts cultivate love,

Minds tend to cultivate war;

War fruits are bitter:-

Let hearts cultivate sweetness,

Producing ripe fruits of peace:-

                  2

While you’re sitting there with mind and heart,

And thinking just what it is you need to do,

Let you mind freely enter into your heart,

And do what it is that it must now do

Yes, let it go right into your heart,

And get to evicting all that agonizing bull stuff,

Inviting God’s Son to be chief permanent resident;

Now just sit there  in that new loving rhythmic heartbeat-

Know now, henceforth, and forevermore,

That where Jesus and His love reside

Satan’s debilitating waring hate can

Never, in that new heart, abide:-
