Odyssey
Last night I went on a magical mystery tour.
If you are interested, read on, I will tell you more.
To distant realms beyond the stars in space.
I was hurtled to a strange land, a different place.
Blue eyed angels with ebony midnight skin, sang,
Enticing lyrics with beguiling tunes softly rang.
Resplendent artwork could be seen everywhere.
Sensuous odors, of calming lavender filled the air.
A ghost like figure wafting past lead me by the hand.
A wonderous place I must describe as wonderland.
Soft petals created a path that led on for miles.
All the people walking by had contagious smiles.
As amazing as everything was, I sensed a falsehood.
To this utopia there was something not understood.
Somehow enrichment of this place wasn’t as it seems.
Alas I soon awoke, it was an odyssey only in my dreams.
