Odes of a Shattered Soul

You said: You look like you've been hurt before, Drowned before you could reach the shore. I replied: My father was my first heartbreak, My uncle was my second, I was neglected and never reckoned, If you'd ask me how I am I'd say I'm fine, I can love you even after knowing that you'll never be mine. Loneliness lurking in crowd, Voices in my head, so loud, Rivers in my eroding eyes, To my heart, nothing satisfies. I'm rotting and wearing a mask full of smiles, I don't know what in the future for me lies, I am so scared of life, I can't even imagine being Somebody's lover or wife, Everything seems unreal I'm seeing, who am I? Who am I being? I'm getting tired of it all, Always breaking like a porcelain doll. Hold me tight, Before I shatter at your feet, Don't let me out of your sight, As long as you hear my heart's beat. Hear me, hold me tight , Because I'm so scared of the night. Console me, oh, please, So that I might be at ease, I'm wearing pearls of peace, And take me to Greece, Before my breathings cease. I'm complicated and crazy, My thinking, breezy and hazy, Understand me, can you? Don't leave me without a clue, I'm a starry night, mazy and forlorn, I don't even know why I was born. I'm an abandoned bleeding sea, without a heart, Pathetic palpable ardent art, Who talks to the moon, A glass shard and longing loon. Save me from me, I , mine, Words won't come out, My drenched teary eyes whine, Can't you hear the slurry shout? So, hold me, Don't break the promises, You told me.

Dearest Anne, Oh, how this aches with such honesty and longing, with a raw, unfiltered outpouring of pain, hope, and the deep need to be seen and held. I believe you captured that haunting loneliness, the struggle to trust, and the courage it takes to reach out from behind the mask. Although I sensed that in these shattered pieces, you invite empathy and connection. Your voice is a testament to resilience and the healing power of poetry to transform pain into something beautifully human. Spring Blessings, My Dear Anne, Daniel

Dearest Daniel, I am truly deeply touched by your understanding of my poems. Poetry turns pain into something beautiful. April was a bit harsh on me, bringing back some bad memories, but poetry and your lovely notes truly helped in healing my heart, and I am doing well now. I am very thankful, My Dear Daniel, With love and respect always, Anne.
