Ode To the Years Gone By

When there's a whim of only ache
There should be Her to soothe me
Since She's been gone it's not the same
If there's a whisper to the ear
     claiming I'm still crazy
Since She's been gone I'm not the same

If worry comes to me
I'll take a knee
When beauty takes over all I see
I know She's here to save me

Never, I feel, will you return
If ever you could, would you?
Since you've been gone it's not the same
Forever seems not long enough
     for the years gone by,
Since you've been gone I'm not the same

It's hard to say why I feel this way
For years come and go, I shall remain the same
In this throne of broken pride
Impossible to tell that I was wrong
But wrong I always was

It's hard to say that....I miss you
