Ode To the Night

I’d like to thank the night 
 For its darkness
And the beautiful moon and stars
 I’d like to thank the night 
For letting me walk beneath its sky
 And fall apart in its arms
I’d like to thank the night
 For making the world silent
And giving me a safe place to cry
 I’d like to thank the night
For everything it does
 Without even knowing
I’d like to thank the night
 For reminding me 
That there’s always tomorrow
 But most of all, I’d like to thank the night
For helping me grow
