Ode to the Grandkids
My gaze, grandkids, you inspire me to write.
I love the way you laugh, trust and cherish,
Devoting my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the excellent garish.
Let me compare you to a vital bond lie?
You are more feelings, childhood, and promise.
Blase drought dries the pleased picnics of July,
And summertime has the blighted pomace.
How do I love you? Let me count the ways.
I love your child of my child's charm, wit, and style.
Thinking of your slighted wit fills my days.
My love for you is the delighted spile.
Now I must away with a squamous heart,
Remember my close words while we're apart.
