Despite the glamor and cheer of the partying crowds, My memory dwells in the brief minutes of your golden tears - The times when happiness your tender hands harshly eluded, The times when your soul could not handle fate and its fears. As the mauling of years deals your unfeeling skin a blow I will be eager to see the marvels of this splendid amend As the old rundown roses give way to the newer ones within, As the worn-out glitter fades to unveil the new in the end.
