Ode To My Recliner

Thank you for being there, dear friend, dear one.
Thank you for holding the giant dog on your uplift.
I am sorry about his weight, but we have to feed him.
Thank you for not breaking yet, I feel you will eventually.

But for now, you are perfect for this big galoot and me.
We love sitting on you to play word games or to draw.
We are keeping our paints and glitter glues in the studio.
So you can breathe easy about that unfounded fear.

We love it when you soak up the sunrays from the window.
When you are toasty warm and cushy when we sit.
You are an amazing friend, and we love you – the dog and me.
Thank you for being there, dear friend, dear one.

Login to Reply Caren Krutsinger Date: 1/13/2022 11:22:00 PM He does but he knows that he had better not chew up any more bottles of glitter glue or paint. He has chewed a wooden handle off the plunger and most of the wallboard under the glass slider in there though. He is a determined boy.
