Ode To Max
Felis Maximus -
Oh so male with fiery fur,
And sometimes with a matching temper,
You show cuteness that deceives
Those humankind who fail to please.
For one misguided fool who dares
Invade your realm unawares
Will likely meet with warning hiss,
And not some softly planted kiss -
A hiss indeed, and sharpened claws
Delivered by two well aimed paws.
But if, perchance, your trust is won,
The truest friendship has begun.
We few are blessed, who have your trust,
And love you, Felis Maximus.
