Ode to Joy’, written by Friedrich Schiller and used for Ludwig van Beethoven’s last movement of the Ninth Symphony, starts with ‘Freude schoener Goetterfunken, Tochter aus Elysium (Joy, beautiful spark of divinity, Daughter from Elysium).
