Ode to life
There’s always someone dying,
?and always another being born.?
Always, the clock clings, clicking
—?telling us: “YOU NEED TO LET GO.”
There’s always someone shaking at death,
?and some who never make it—never move.
?They just don’t have the heat, the heart,
?to let their inner dream break through.
Through the ticking, we move—?
through time, time there, again.
?Shattered tear, simple breath—
?we’re being born, begging:?
“We need breath from you.”
The being is in me.?And it’s in you. -
One of life’s longest labors?is simply
standing still—
saying:?“I’m here.” "here i am" - with you.
Most miss it.?Their minds?
Murky.?And when they finally
see—?the final tick is through.
And it’s too late,?too late
to let the flame
?let the beauty?fly through.
