Ode To Dancers
Oh what words they call us,
Who stay turning and twisting
Jostling and cavorting
'till sun slips from its horizoned sheath
And how they describe us,
Who elegantly slide and glide
In unison traversing
'till the lights guide us home.
Oh how they view us
Who tuned to the music
Connect and breathe deep
Embraced until our partners body is all we feel
And how they admire us
All smiles and sighs
Oblivious and jaunty
Lost in the pools of our partners eyes
Oh how we are free
We who turn and twist
Light-hearted and unburdened
As the days stresses drift away
And how we with rhythmic prowess
So effortlessly spiral and slither
United and indivisible
As we seek just one more perfect dance
