ODE TO BE READ

ONCE UPON A TIME
BEFORE TIME
WRITTEN BY THE STARS
FOR HEARTS ENTWINED
BEFORE HEARTS DID BEAT
THERE WERE TWO WHO FELT THE HEAT
THAT IS THE MOMENT OF THE FIRST BEAT

BEAT SO STRONG
IT WILL NOT STOP
IT WILL NOT BE DENIED
IT IS IN THE AIR
CARRIED BY THE WIND AND CAPTURED SO FINE
HEAR THE DRUM OF THE STRETCHED SKIN
OVER THE ROUND HOLLOWED OUT CIRCULAR SOFT BONE WITH AN AGE OLD PATINA
SO FINE
SO SOFT
IN THE MIDST OF A ROUGH COURSE CHAOS OF EARTHLY DECADENT DECAY
THE ESSENCE OF AMORE BEATS ETERNAL
