October's Sun
October ends in a furore
Causing carnage midst the trees,
There upon the forest floor
Windblown, lay a million leaves.
Scattered they, far and wide
Farther than the eye can see,
Oh such beauty had to die
For fell a woodland tapestry.
October's Sun, pale in the sky
The time is nigh for winters sleep,
It's warming rays now pass us by
Winter waits... as autumn weeps.
