October Sun, Gifts Bright Colors Galore

October Sun, Gifts Bright Colors Galore Remember Spring's green now passed away, Its soft-laid flowers in meadows that thrill; Cascading upon views of distant hills, New life, Nature's power holding sway. God blessed summer, with rays that bright shine, We our days oft found lounging at the beach; Far away from work, our phones out of reach, Basking in warmth, thinking life is so fine. October sun, gifts cool, colors galore, Splashes of splendor, an artist's delight And its gasping moon, sweet romancing nights Leaving our thankful souls, begging for more! Thank you my friend. Now that I am retired, the far way from work thing, holds not the same value and blessing that it did in my wild, racing and quite memorable youth...

Than you my friend. From that image I saw myself there about 40+ years ago. One of my nicest memories , of a time in love and deeply fallen for a ravishing beauty...

Thank you my friend. Spring and Summer are my beloved seasons. Winter is the one that I am not very fond of, as a kid it was very a very harsh time each year... God bless....

Thank you my friend. Sometimes when the verses flow to you, its as if resting in a cool clear stream on a hot and burning August day. As if the air exudes words that stir heart and soul to splash ink and rejoice. In the gift of a humble poet, one that momentarily has found his truest and jubilantly poetic singing voice. God bless....

Thank you my friend. I am very pleased that you have found this creation to be a positive and realistic poetic birthing of verse describing October's colorful and inspiring imagery that we should appreciate as Nature's fine gift that it is.. God bless...

Thank you my friend. October and its colorful imagery far too often masks its warning of the coming of winters icy wrath. My being of a maternal Native American bloodline, winter is not a favorite season for me. Yet I did not let that future of cold and gloom destroy the inspiration found in the October rainbow of falling leaves and cool morns watching furry critters getting ready for winter.

Soul of wit, brevity oft births jewels that gleam in leaping flames from furnaces stoked by Hephaestus's own mighty arms.. And serves to remind me of the Gods that wore his armor to battle the mighty Titans of old! God bless, you and yours....

Lovely poem, Robert. I loved how you took the reader gently from spring to autumn. Yes, we beg for more of the beauty of this season. Good luck in the contest. I haven't been around much, but I'm trying to get back to being a regular on Poetry Soup. Blessings...

Thank you my friend, so great to see you are back and contributing your exceptional poetry for we readers to enjoy and learn from. A blessing that the contest theme made my penning hand ache and my muse to chastise me. Truth is her words are oft like sharpened sword slashes that bleed poetic blood upon moaning virgin grounds of memories of Sensual Sirens A'calling..... cometh thee hither....

Thank you my friend. I saw the colorful fallen leaves being soaked by rain this morn. My muse whispered-- "doesnt that make your pen hand itch to ink"? Smiling , I replied, " yes but what fantastic verse will you give me to start"? She smiled and said, "You lout, must I do everything for you"? Drink another cup of coffee , wake up and ask Mother Nature for that verse"!! And such first verse you see, Mother Nature softly whispered to me. True story my friend..

Than you my friend. So true, those memories are oft more precious that diamonds and gold. At least to some of us that feel Life is the creator of treasured moments that only death can extinguish. God bless you , my friend...
