October Senryu

Five glimpses of October fall's crisp leaves chatter apples await fondling hands October chuckles daybreak dalliance hoarfrost wind chimes tinkle goose bumps on the pond honey bees retreat dandelion's bid adieu as petals fall gnarled roots wrapped in a tartan plaid kilt an echo of pipers hanging on the fence the aftermath of recess one mitten two hats ...and a winter bonus...TA-DA and then the rain turned cold and changed its face took crystal shape and floated lost in space rode eagle-like the chill of shifting air settled diamond-like upon her flaxen hair John G. Hello John Lawless, we are having Indian Summer now. The leaves are changing colors now. Sad to say, winter is on the way. Enjoy your day my friend.

the leaves haven't yet turned in the Boston area just yet but they are creeping through New Hampshire along with a first frost.

Great combo, John. Had our first hoar frost yesterday. Hope you're well. Regards, Viv

Lovely senryu. And the couplets on Winter. Wonder what October will bring. So I will not grumble yet. ~~
