October Moon

Full moon now that
Fall has come
Expectations of
Shorter days as one
Leaves falling
Flowers hiding
Hibernation begins
Plants abiding
October Moon
Lights the night
Chills in the air
Geese in flight
Awaiting the frost
And frozen dirt
Creatures are seeking
The silence of Earth

Kelli, your poem "October Moon" is a beautiful and evocative piece of writing. It captures the essence of the autumn season in a way that is both melancholic and hopeful. I particularly like the way you use language and imagery to create a vivid and immersive experience for the reader. From the "expectations of shorter days" and "leaves falling" to the "hibernation begins" and "plants abiding," your poem is full of rich and evocative language.
