October Before December

October Before December
By David J Walker

I will not think of the frost
Until its time
October before December
This autumn will
Be mine
The only autumn that I
May blend into the colors
Of the changing leaves
And be admired
Through the last days of
Gray November sky’s
From here
I can still smell the blooms
Of summers flowers
That I may always
Remember
