October

On jam and toast.
I am as calm as the skeleton of a swan.
The microscopic.
Jellyfish lungs.
Chopped up fish arms.
Invisible.
Shivering as if I’ll dissolve.
There’s still flowers, fall leaves, and trash cans.
I’m flushed.
It’s October.
So the chattering teeth behave a little longer.
