Oceans
He begs me to stay
With sea salt kisses
I cannot refuse
For I am a sun kissed queen
Who awaits a love
As charming as the seas
He erases my every footstep
Forgetting every attempt of my departure
As if I never left
He pulls me in with tides
More powerful than a will that is compounded in sand
I am helpless
Vulnerable
But enamored by the waves of a soul as encapsulating as his
His arms wrap around me
In an ocean breeze
Tight
Compelling
Breath taking
He tells the sun to draw portraits of me in the sky
So she paints with clouds and colors that are far more beautiful than me
But yet he thinks
I am so much more
Than any sunset can behold
Because I am an ocean
With currents
Only the moon can control
So I’m breaking free
Saying goodbye
